“The opposite of a small truth is a falsehood. The opposite of a large truth is another large truth.”
– niels bohr
The way you can tell a psychotherapist is getting better at his job is that he spends less and less time talking.
The large truth at the core of my work is that people transform and overcome their challenges when they reconnect with the gifts and wisdom within themselves, not when someone else tells them how to live their lives.
The equally large truth is that there are particular strings of words I read or listened to once, often decades ago, which continue to ring in my ears and profoundly shape the course of my life today.
So here are some words that have changed me, when I let them, and that you might allow to do the same for you.
