About the Practice: Fields That We Know
“If you want someone specifically to show up, you have to invite them.”
So, here is me inviting you to Fields that We Know. We are not a generic therapy practice, but one that seeks a level of depth that you don’t get a lot.
We offer psychotherapy / therapy groups / intensives virtually in Texas, Maryland, and Massachusetts, but would love to offer resources and chat with you outside of those states as well.
Reach out to start the conversation.
We’re not here to give you boilerplate ‘about page’ material.
Values, mission statements, and vision statements on typical Therapist About pages are signals to you, the audience, what we’re all about. But at Fields That We Know, we don’t want to create a blanket boilerplate statement just for the sake of including it, but we do want you to feel welcome. We want to show that we either share in a group identity or can serve your community and meet you where you are.
So here is our invitation to you instead.
We’re committed as an organization to serve members of the queer/LGBTQIA+ groups, poly/ENM, BIPOC folks, neurodivergent/neurodiverse, and kink communities.
We also welcome Complex PTSD/C-PTSD clients and are ready to meet you where you are.
Science is real.
Black Lives Matter.
Love is Love.
No Human is Illegal.
Women’s rights are human rights.
LGBTQ rights are human rights.
At Fields That We Know, we encourage a sense of intensity, dynamism, directness, seriousness, and unconventionality.
We believe the most important part of therapy is what happens after you finish therapy, your real life, with your real loved ones, your real dreams, and your real legacy in the world.
Many people perceive psychotherapy as self-indulgent, endless, and pointless, a place where people waste time whining and living in the past and feeling sorry for themselves, instead of actually solving their problems and moving on with their lives.
This practice, however, is all about connecting therapists who are good at their jobs (it’s us, Cay and Kimberly!) with clients who are ready and willing to do the work, so that people can solve the biggest problems in their lives.
We want you to kick ass, change completely, and then kick ass even more.
